Operating in Quebec since 1945, Teccart Institute is a subsidized private college with three campuses in the Montreal area. 

Project Scope

Teccart has been a client of Aquest Design for over a decade, so when their new Brossard Campus needed to be furnished, Aquest Design was engaged to consult and provide a needs assessment, providing furniture, fixtures and equipment encompassing a diverse range of environments. Aquest supplied not only the furniture, but also appliances, audiovisual equipment, lockers, and storage units. Our goal was to deliver tailored furniture and fixtures that met both functional and aesthetic needs, to create a world-class learning environment that will serve Teccart for many years.

The project spanned multiple types of spaces, including:

• Private and Shared Offices: Aquest provided ergonomic and stylish office furniture to enhance productivity and comfort in both private and collaborative settings.
• Conference Rooms: Aquest worked closely with stakeholders to design and furnish the conference rooms with high-quality, flexible seating and modular tables to support dynamic meetings and presentations.
• Virtual Teaching Offices: To facilitate remote learning, we equipped these offices with state-of-the-art furniture that supports technology integration and ergonomic comfort, as well as providing the Audiovisual equipment & systems to allow for remote learning environments.
• Labs: We supplied durable, specialized furniture designed to meet the rigorous demands of lab environments, including laboratory-specific finishes, and adjustable stools.
• Cafeteria (Students and Teachers): Our design included versatile seating and tables suitable for both casual dining and group interactions, catering to students and faculty alike.
• Student Booths (Meetings): Aquest provided comfortable and functional booths to support student meetings and collaborative work.
• Reception Area: A selection of elegant, minimal furniture was incorporated to ensure a welcoming and professional first impression.
• Storage Shelving and Lockers: To maximize organization and efficiency, Aquest provided and installed specialty shelving and lockers, enhancing both storage capacity and accessibility.

Each space was carefully designed to align with the client’s specific requirements and branding, ensuring functionality and style.

Aquest selected high-quality materials and furniture to ensure longevity and withstand the demands of each environment, ensuring Teccart’s students and clients would be able to enjoy the spaces for years to come.

Aquest used a “technology-first” approach to planning the spaces that required audiovisual equipment, (virtual teaching offices and conference room).  Aquest integrated modern technology solutions to support seamless virtual interactions.

Results

The client successfully transformed their spaces into highly functional and aesthetically pleasing environments. The tailored furniture solutions provided enhanced comfort and efficiency, supporting both everyday tasks and specialized activities.
