S&C Electric Company is a global provider of equipment and services for electric power systems. They are a Chicago-based company that has been in business since 1911.
S&C Electric needed to modernize their Toronto offices while staying on budget and meeting a tight timeline.
The Challenge
For their Toronto offices, S&C had a strict budget with an extensive list of needs to be covered in their office renovation. With a challenging lead time and a specific budget, Aquest came up with creative cost saving solutions that allowed S&C to fit their “wish list” into the budget, as well as creative ways to achieve the timelines required such as loaning interim furniture & equipment so that the space could be usable without delay.
The Design Concept
Aquest Design set out to modernize the existing space – to provide a more sustainable working environment and to improve productivity, S&C decided to change their mindset from the traditional individual cubical office to more contemporary open office concept. Aquest designed the space to enhance communication and coordination between coworkers. By retaining much of the existing walls and finishes, Aquest minimized unnecessary expenses and reinforced our commitment to sustainable practices, all while fulfilling the client’s requirements.
